At the HBMI Leslie Vale Quarry site Hazell Bros have included a Resource Recovery Centre along with their Quarry operations. The focus of this operation is the separation and processing of recycled products which are then returned to market. They deal predominantly in recycled glass, which is currently being reprocessed into sand, as well as recycled concrete which is crushed and screened to produce a recycled road base.
Currently onsite Hazell Bros have a large range of machinery including 20 to 40texcavators, wheel loaders, rigid tippers, fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants and a water cart. Recently they have added some Anaconda products to their assets. The Anaconda Trommel was their first Anaconda purchase for a unique application; processing the recycled glass. Hazell Bros knew what they wanted to do and that it was a bespoke application. With some fine tuning, collaboration and back up and support from Anaconda and Onetrak some modifications were made and the trommel is successfully screening the glass to Hazell Bros. specifications.
Although Brad mentioned he had never encountered Anaconda equipment until they purchased the Trommel they were pleased with the outcomes and consequently went on to purchase the Anaconda DF410 scalping screen.
The Anaconda DF range of mobile tracked scalping screens consists of heavy-duty screens designed for a wide range of applications. The DF410 stands out as one of the most durable and dependable scalping screens available today. Equipped with a10’ x 4’ Screen Box, the DF410 features the longest screen box in the compact screening category. Additionally, the DF410 includes three stockpiling conveyors, making this adaptable scalping screen suitable for any application it encounters.
Hazell Bros is currently utilizing the DF410 to process their recycled concrete. After the material is crushed, it moves on to the DF410 scalping screen, which eliminates unwanted and oversized rocks while stockpiling the final product size. The Anaconda DF410 was selected over other options due to Hazell Bros' positive experience with the Anaconda Trommel, its compact design, and competitive pricing, along with their long-standing partnership with Onetrak and Rodney Onions. Brad also highlighted Onetrak’s outstanding service, ranging from field service support to commissioning, and praised the follow-up sales assistance from Rodney. However, Brad mentioned that he hasn't needed to contact the service team yet.
The on-site staff have expressed their satisfaction with theDF410, highlighting its user-friendly design that makes it easy to operate and maintain. They appreciate the thoughtful engineering that allows for straight forward handling, which is especially beneficial in a busy work environment. The compact size of the DF410 is another aspect that the team values, as it enables efficient use of space on-site without compromising its performance. Despite its smaller footprint, the equipment proves to be robust and capable, effectively managing the various workloads assigned to it by Hazell Bros. This combination of ease of use and operational efficacy has made the DF410 a favoured choice among the staff, contributing positively to their productivity and overall workflow.
Onetrak is eager to maintain their partnership with Hazell Bros. and they will keep delivering effective solutions.
With excellent feedback on the machines and Onetrak’s capability to deliver comprehensive support and solutions for your business, choosing Onetrak is a clear decision. Feel free to contact the team at www.onetrak.com.au or call1300727 520.
