The Position

We are seeking an experienced Residential Diesel Mechanic/Field Service Technician.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of diesel-powered construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, crushing and screening products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel-powered construction equipment
  • Conduct engine overhauls, rebuilds, and replacements as needed
  • Identify and diagnose issues using computerized diagnostic tools and other equipment
  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service
  • Maintain accurate and complete service records

About you

In order to be considered, strong commitment to safety, you will come from a heavy equipment service background within any relatable industry.

If you've worked in a trade role construction equipment, mining, forestry, waste & recycling, access equipment, forklifts, generators, compressors or any other relevant equipment, we want to speak with you!

Key candidate criteria are:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification of Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Mobile Plant Mechanic  
  • Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment, access equipment, ag equipment or trucks
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostics skills
  • Ability to navigate computer programs for diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Strong computer literacy
